Compensation Range: $40 - $42/HR
We are seeking an Associate Manager, Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of our client's D2C businesses and execute brand website maintenance and optimization. In this role, you will drive D2C business performance and partner across internal teams, global counterparts, and external agencies to achieve growth and operational excellence.
Success in this role is measured by sales and subscriber growth, conversion and retention performance, brand site health, and the overall operational health of the D2C P&L. This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension or transition to full-time, pending individual performance and business scope.
Responsibilities:
Drive D2C Business Performance & Growth
- Oversee D2C business performance across sales and subscriber growth and tech stack functionality.
- Refine value propositions, offerings, and technical stack to deliver the strongest consumer value and experience.
- Build and optimize retention and engagement programs, including loyalty, affiliate, and referral.
- Activate performance capabilities and marketing technologies - including CRM, personalization, A/B testing, and optimization tooling - in partnership with IT and agency partners, and enable first-party data capture.
- Optimize payment options and checkout experiences to reduce friction and improve conversion.
- Optimize customer communications (pre- and post-purchase) for clarity and expectation management.
- Work closely with Finance to monitor and manage P&L impacts, and with Accounting and Tax to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and alignment on D2C transactions and policies.
Execute Brand Website Maintenance & Optimization
- Execute ongoing maintenance and optimization of website in partnership with the Digital Ecosystems & Capabilities team, ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, quality assurance, and alignment with brand and industry best practices.
- Execute organic search (SEO, GEO, and AI-driven discovery) initiatives for brand; partnering with internal and agency stakeholders on planning, delivery, and optimization.
- Drive accountability for technical performance,monitoring web health scores and remediating cross-functional issues.
- Translate site performance data, competitive insights, and AI-driven discovery signals into actionable optimizations for content, UX, and platform improvements.
Lead Cross-Functional Partnerships & Operational Excellence
- Lead end-to-end project management across brand site and D2C initiatives, owning timelines, scope, and stakeholder alignment.
- Manage external agency partners with focus on owned platform management and D2C performance optimization.
- Develop clear, data‑backed stories for cross-functional stakeholders that guide digital strategy, performance optimization, and D2C expansion.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across IT, Consumer Care, Brand, Operations (including 3PL and SAP), Finance, Accounting, and Tax to uphold best practices and continuously improve the end-to-end consumer experience.
- Support Consumer Care by managing escalation processes and expectations, including proactively identifying and addressing platform-related issues that may drive customer contacts and their root causes.
- Support the creation and adoption of playbooks,operating models, and training to scale repeatable execution.
- Spearhead the adoption of global Digital Ecosystems and D2C performance capabilities roadmap for brand.
- Stay current on market and competitive insights, research, and trends, including emerging commerce opportunities such as social commerce and 3P marketplaces.

- Proven project management leadership across cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Experience with CRM, loyalty, personalization, and A/B testing tools and capabilities.
- Working knowledge of order management systems.
- Familiarity with marketing technology stacks and integrations with IT, 3PL, and ERP/SAP systems.
- Experience partnering with Finance, Accounting, and Taxon ecommerce P&L and compliance considerations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience managing D2C and/or ecommerce businesses, with a proven track record of driving growth.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing external agencies.
