Location: Telecommute
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $50 - 55 per hour
We are seeking a highly organized, adaptive, and emotionally intelligent Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end production of major annual corporate publications, research, and a variety of fast-paced, short-term creative marketing projects.
The crown jewel of this role is managing a high-stakes key publication, a multi-month initiative with moving pieces, shifting deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a calm-under-pressure multitasker who excels at keeping internal teams aligned, maintaining strict data integrity, and navigating complex publication schedules from kickoff to print.
Responsibilities:
Major Project & Publication Management
- Direct the lifecycle of a major company report (from July/August kickoff through April publication), enforcing milestones for data collection, copywriting, design, layout reviews, and final printing.
- Manage secondary tentpole assets, such as the organization's proprietary reports and studies.
- Build, map out, and present robust rollout schedules, project timelines, and trackers using project management software and spreadsheets.
Workload & Resource Balancing
- Concurrently juggle long-term publication tracks with incoming short-term, day-to-day marketing requests.
- Assess project needs daily and source internal creative resources to ensure fast-turnaround tasks are successfully executed without stalling master timelines.
Stakeholder Alignment & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary operational hub, predominantly working with internal corporate marketing teams.
- Manage relationships with critical external vendors, including printing companies and production partners.
- Facilitate minor, polished client interactions when coordinating client success stories/profiles for corporate assets.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of dedicated project management experience.
- Proven Publication Track Record: Direct experience managing long-term, high-volume corporate reports, magazines, or data-heavy publication assets with strict print/digital deadlines.
- Industry Agnostic: Deep insurance or financial services knowledge is not required; structural project management capability and corporate acumen are the priority.
- Technical Proficiencies
- Project Management Tools: Experience with Workfront is highly preferred, though a fast learner who has mastered similar enterprise tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Smartsheet) will be considered.
- Core Software: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel for tracking and illustrating schedules).
