Compensation Range: $40 - 42 per hour
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Store Planner to lead the strategic development of fixture plans and architectural criteria for one of the world's leading off-price retailers. In this role, you aren't just moving walls; you are driving sales by optimizing store layouts, department adjacencies, and customer flow across hundreds of new stores, relocations, and major remodels annually.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze project data to create site-specific fixture plans and architectural drawings that balance high-end design with operational efficiency.
- Manage planning for projects with significant financial impact, including new builds ($1M+), expansions ($750K), and large-scale remodels.
- Partner with Architects, Construction, and Store Operations to troubleshoot site-specific challenges and interpret local building codes.
- Assist management in training Store Planners and outside consultants, ensuring adherence to prototypical requirements and timely project delivery.
- Lead design-build meetings for specific locations, analyzing site surveys to make critical design development decisions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of related experience in retail design, store planning, interior design, or architecture.
- Advanced working knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD is required.
- A strong understanding of retail store operations, building architecture, construction procedures, and related building codes.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering Technology, or Interior Design (OR equivalent Certificate).
