We are partnering with a highly innovative, omnichannel consumer products brand to find a visionary Creative Director. In this critical leadership role, you will establish a cohesive brand identity across all consumer touchpoints, spanning digital, e-commerce, print, packaging, and physical retail. Partnering closely with marketing and executive leadership, you will serve as both a strategic visionary and a hands-on executor to elevate the brand's market presence. This is an exciting opportunity to build a multidisciplinary team, leverage emerging design technologies like AI, and drive the creative future of an expanding product line.
Responsibilities:
- Omnichannel Creative Leadership: Develop and execute a cohesive, disruptive brand vision across all consumer touchpoints, encompassing digital, e-commerce, print, packaging, and brick-and-mortar retail displays.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate seamlessly with the Head of Marketing and the CEO to ensure all creative initiatives align with broader business goals, market trends, and the overall brand strategy.
- Hands-on Art Direction: Act as a "player-coach," balancing high-level creative strategy with hands-on execution. Lead by example by conceptualizing campaigns, creating briefs, and actively art-directing projects.
- Team Building & Mentorship: Build, guide, and mentor a multidisciplinary creative team-including digital/print art directors, designers, and project managers-fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
- AI Integration: Champion the CEO's mandate to integrate AI tools and technologies into the creative workflow to optimize output, ideation, and efficiency.
- Executive Presentation: Confidently present, articulate, and defend creative concepts to the executive team, establishing yourself as a strong, strategic voice that can effectively guide leadership on creative direction.
- Brand Cohesion: Unify the brand's visual identity to ensure a consistent, premium experience for consumers in both the D2C space and across mass retail partners.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: 10+ years of creative experience with significant time spent in a Creative Director or senior leadership role, specifically within the CPG, beauty, cosmetics, or fashion/lifestyle industries.
- Robust Portfolio: A diverse portfolio demonstrating a clear, cohesive brand vision and successful execution across digital campaigns, physical packaging, print, and in-store displays.
- Omnichannel Expertise: Deep understanding of both direct-to-consumer (D2C)/e-commerce environments and traditional mass retail brick-and-mortar spaces.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven track record of successfully partnering with C-suite executives and marketing leaders, possessing the confidence and communication skills to advocate for strong creative strategies.
- Technological Adaptability: High digital maturity with a strong interest in, or existing experience with, utilizing AI tools for creative design and process optimization.
- Hybrid Work Readiness: Ability to work on-site in a hybrid capacity (currently 4 days in-office, 1 day remote) in the Greater New York City area.
