Compensation Range: $30 - 32 per hour
An intellectually curious and business-minded Specialist is needed by a major media and publishing organization to manage paid media details that support subscription growth for its various educational, youth, and history print and digital publications.
The selected candidate will collect imagery, copy, and tracking URLs for paid social campaigns from multiple internal stakeholders, structuring them to facilitate efficient ad creation and testing on Meta. A solid familiarity with Meta Ads Manager is required, as this role involves directly building and testing ads within the platform. Additionally, the Specialist will maintain clear, stakeholder-facing documentation that serves as a historical log of all campaign adjustments. This position reports to the Director of CRM & Consumer Lifecycle and requires a Monday through Thursday on-site presence at the media company's Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities:
- This individual will aggregate imagery, copy, and URL's for paid social ads from various stakeholders and organize in a way that ads in Meta can be created and tested.
- This individual should also have familiarity with Meta Ads, as he/she will also create and test ads directly in the platform.
- This individual will also maintain stakeholder-friendly documentation that reflects a historical log of changes to the campaigns in Meta. Partner with various internal stakeholders to gather creative assets, including high-quality imagery, ad copy, and destination URLs tailored for National Geographic, Kids, Little Kids, and History magazine brands.
- Organize, catalog, and prepare aggregated creative components to ensure seamless ad creation, alignment with brand guidelines, and efficient dynamic creative testing.
- Build, launch, and manage paid social ad campaigns directly within the Meta Ads Manager platform to drive magazine subscriptions.
- Set up and execute creative and audience split tests (imagery, copy variations, and landing pages) to optimize campaign performance and identify top-performing conversion drivers.
- Support the implementation of audience targeting strategies, including lookalikes, custom audiences, and interest-based segments.
- Maintain a meticulous, stakeholder-friendly historical log of all campaign modifications, budget shifts, and creative rotations within Meta.
- Ensure documentation is clear, accessible, and easily digestible for non-technical stakeholders and leadership to understand current campaign statuses and historical context.
- Work closely under the direction of the Director, CRM & Consumer Lifecycle to align paid media efforts with broader customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Assist in translating Meta platform data into actionable insights, helping the team understand why certain creative assets or audiences are performing.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience and advanced knowledge of the campaign, ad set, and ad infrastructure in Meta.
- 2+ years experience with planning and executing ads or posts in Meta platforms.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.);
- Experience with Airtable, Jira, or similar project management platforms;
- Required Education: Bachelor's Degree.
