Lead Designer, Core Footwear Color Design (Hybrid)

Location: Beaverton, Oregon
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $43 - 45 per hour

Step into a creative leadership role where you will drive seasonal color strategy and storytelling for a global leader in sport culture! This exciting opportunity allows you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative footwear designs to life in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Please note that this is a W2 contract position through mid-July covering a leave of absence.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Material Designers to bring narrative and storytelling to life.
• Work with Graphic Designers to develop prints, patterns and trims.
• Work with Apparel Color Designers to create Head to Toe Synergy.
• Work with Product Management teams to build engaging, trend-driven narratives that meet the needs of target consumers.
• Work with Development teams to communicate design intent, help with schematic creation and review and workshop prototypes.
• The ideal candidate will also be responsible for managing and designing presentation materials and presenting concepts to internal teams and leadership as well as external partners. 

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Adobe Suite (specifically Illustrator).
• Color knowledge (familiarity with color theory, harmony, design, etc.)
• Understanding real product (not just digital-based).
• Transferring color knowledge onto soft/hard goods.
