We are seeking a Site Merchandising Manager to be a core driver of our client's e-commerce experience. This is a strategic position for someone who understands the intersection of MarTech, data logic, and marketplace dynamics. You will be instrumental in migrating a large SKU catalog from internal tools to a third-party Product Information Management (PIM) platform. Your goal will be to drastically reduce time-to-market for new products and help scale annual SKU publishing and become the SME for system enhancements moving forward.
Responsibilities:
- Departmental Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing merchandising team, providing the vision and operational playbooks to ensure scalable growth.
- PIM Strategy & Governance: Lead the transition from legacy/homegrown tools to a third-party PIM; establish the business logic, taxonomy, and validation rules to ensure enterprise-wide data integrity.
- Operational Scaling & Catalog Expansion: Drive the pace of product publishing to drastically reduce lead times from months to weeks and individual updates to 3 days or less.
- Global Workflow Management: Oversee and optimize partnerships with offshore teams (e.g., India) to manage high-volume content updates, providing guidance on complex data and enforcing rigorous QA standards.
- Strategic Merchandising & Marketplace UX: Use category performance, conversion, and "shelf space" data to optimize product placement, navigation, and filtering; ensure dental professionals can find supplies with ease.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Enterprise Leadership to align merchandising with revenue goals, improve SEO/search relevance, and ensure flawless promotional execution.
- Supply Partner (Vendor) Relations: Represent the company in communications with vendors to enforce business standards and enable catalog optimization that drives higher sales and better outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7 years in Site Merchandising, specifically within a B2B Marketplace or high-SKU E-commerce environment.
- Proven experience working with a Product Information Management (PIM) platform (Salsify, Akeneo, Plytix, or similar).
- Experience navigating system migrations or digital transformations.
- 3-5 years of management experience; this role will manage a team of 6 site merchandisers, both on and offshore.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn raw product data into strategic merchandising decisions.
- Understanding of multi-vendor environments where price comparison and search accuracy are the primary drivers of customer value.
- You are a "self-starter" who enjoys building processes rather than just following them.
- Ability to work effectively with remote/offshore teams and articulate recommendations to leadership.
