Senior Product Designer (Apparel Innovation) (Hybrid)

Beaverton, OR | Job #1330976

Location: Beaverton, Oregon
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $50 - 55 per hour

We are seeking a Specialized Product Designer to join the Innovation Team at one of the world's most iconic sports brands in Beaverton, OR. This is a high-impact, 6 month contract role focused on a full-scale product reset, specifically targeting the fusion of Golf Sport and Fashion. As a Senior Product Designer, your work will span the entire lifecycle of product creation-from blue-sky ideation to retail-ready proof of concepts. You will be the engine behind new ways of thinking about performance products, creating competitive advantages in the global marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate groundbreaking concepts for all business units, collaborating with product creation teams to define the future of the brand's apparel vision.
  • Define testing protocols to validate new concepts. You will use your advanced knowledge of the consumer to turn new technologies and construction processes into concrete insights.
  • Deliver "proof of concept" by turning visions into reality. You will identify key materials, refine construction processes, and engineer physical prototypes.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary innovation projects, partnering with manufacturing and 3rd-party vendors to meet complex design challenges with feasible, state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Draft reports and present market concepts at the functional department level, ensuring a seamless transition of technology from the lab to the product line.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8-9 years of directly relevant work experience in professional product design.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Apparel, or a related field.
  • A standout portfolio that demonstrates a "high taste level" and a sophisticated personal style-specifically where Golf/Sport meets Fashion.
  • Deep knowledge of apparel materials, specifically knitwear, technical fabrics, and high-performance athletic textiles.
  • Proficiency with Vizcom AI or similar generative design platforms to accelerate the ideation process.
