The Digital Marketing Content Author will provide hands-on publishing for Client public websites. The primary focus is supporting high-volume business-as-usual publishing in Drupal.

In this role, you will build and update pages, perform quality checks, apply accessibility and content standards, and support release readiness. Based on team needs, you may also support Sanity authoring, content transition activities for planned initiatives.

This is a hands-on execution role to apply established content models, taxonomy, governance and accessibility requirements to deliver public web experiences but will not own content strategy, copywriting, taxonomy or content-model design, UX design or technical development.

Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance, UAT & Release Readiness (Primary Focus)

  • Lead comprehensive peer QA reviews across high-volume publishing requests to verify component layout, typography, links, metadata, and responsive presentation.
  • Manage end-to-end UAT execution, defect logging, retesting, and sign-off readiness across desktop and mobile environments.
  • Drive release-readiness reviews, launch validation, and post-release verification for scheduled production deployments and urgent hotfixes.
  • Validate content-level digital accessibility standards (WCAG) and remediate issues (heading hierarchy, alt text, link structure, color contrast).
  • Own and maintain publishing QA checklists, test scenarios, and defect-tracking standards in Jira.

2. CMS Migration & Content Integrity Support

  • Support content-readiness and validation initiatives for the upcoming CMS migration from Drupal to Sanity.
  • Audit staged pages against approved source assets, taxonomy rules, and content models to catch formatting defects, broken links, or data discrepancies before migration cuts over.
  • Identify missing or inconsistent metadata/tagging and coordinate remediation with authors and content owners.

3. Web Page Authoring & Publishing (Secondary / As Needed)

  • Build, configure, and update web pages in Drupal and Sanity using approved design system components and templates to maintain working knowledge of the publishing stack.
  • Provide targeted authoring support for urgent releases, renewals, and retirements during peak volume windows.
  • Follow established enterprise approval workflows and compliance controls.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Issue Resolution

  • Troubleshoot content, layout, and component defects, collaborating directly with developers, product managers, and authors to resolve blockers.
  • Serve as the quality liaison between the centralized publishing team and business stakeholders.
  • Flag operational risks, scope changes, and launch dependencies promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in digital content QA, UAT testing, or web publishing for large enterprise websites or regulated digital properties.
  • Hands-on experience working inside enterprise CMS platforms (Drupal preferred; Sanity or headless CMS experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience with structured QA methodologies, defect tracking in Jira, and cross-browser/responsive device testing.
  • Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS, semantic markup, responsive design principles, and metadata/SEO hygiene.
  • Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and hands-on content-level remediation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and clear, proactive communication when documenting bugs and partnering with developers.
