Photo Equipment Lead

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)
Work schedule: 10-7 M-F, 8-5 may be an option once an candidate is selected, Schedule: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
Duration: ~8.5 Months; potential to extend
Compensation Range: $49.00 - $52.00/hr

Step into a high-visibility leadership role guiding daily photo and video operations for a major consumer and retail brand. You will direct a team, manage high-end motion and digital gear, and oversee lighting setups across multiple active sets to keep fast-paced productions running seamlessly.
 
Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 3-4 members across 5+ active sets to maintain peak production workflow and operational efficiency.
• Manage equipment tracking and logistics in Blue Circle software to ensure seamless inventory flow for e-commerce, editorial, and motion shoots.
• Rig and execute precise lighting setups from detailed diagrams to maintain visual consistency across all studio environments.
• Troubleshoot technical malfunctions and log equipment repairs in real time to uphold strict safety and quality standards. 

Qualifications:
Top 3-5 must have Skills:

• Experience leading a small team.
• Experience on a film and photo set.
• Must have an in-depth understanding of lighting and grip.
• Experience with cinema cameras is a plus - Red Komodo X.
• Proficiency with basic Microsoft Suite, Airtable, and Figma is a plus.
• Desired soft Skills:
• Working in a team is paramount.
• Must be a good communicator
• Must be able to plan ahead
• Ability to work in a high volume big production environment without getting overwhelmed or stressed out.
