Compensation Range: $70 - 74 per hour
Our client, a industry leader in hospitality and entertainment, is seeking a Technical Product Manager to oversee technical discovery for an evolving digital platform. You will be responsible for mapping architectural baselines, defining future-state requirements, and aligning feature prioritization with long-term business goal
Responsibilities:
- Lead product vision, release schedules, and backlog management for core backend platforms.
- Conduct audits on existing microservices, legacy APIs, and codebases to eliminate technical debt and optimize platform throughput.
- Work side-by-side with Solution Architects and Lead Engineers to convert complex requirements into backend architectures and data flows.
- :Author technical requirements, functional specifications, API contracts, and detailed developer user stories.
- Serve as the central point of contact between technical teams and other teams to resolve dependencies and negotiate scope.
- Lead daily delivery, sprint planning, and risk management for dedicated engineering teams, keeping stakeholders informed of critical dependencies
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager focused on backend platforms, RESTful APIs, and cloud architecture.
- Backend Systems Literacy: Demonstrated ability to trace complex data flows, analyze unfamiliar architecture, and perform deep discovery across enterprise codebases.
- Matrix Leadership: Proven track record of building cross-functional trust, forging consensus, and driving technical alignment without direct authority.
- Technical PM Mechanics: Advanced expertise writing technical user stories, system specifications, and API documentation using Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
- Proven ability to define key metrics, showcase KPI ownership on a resume, and continuously leverage data to justify product decisions and measure system performance
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communicator skilled at tailoring technical details for non-technical leadership and architectural leads.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience with enterprise e-commerce transaction engines (e.g., inventory holds, core search indexing, dynamic pricing, or booking platforms).
- Previous hands-on background as a Software Engineer or Technical Business Analyst managing legacy system modernizations and API rollouts.
