Compensation Range: $50 - 54 per hour
We are seeking a creative Motion Graphics Designer to develop high-quality videos, animations, and visual content in collaboration with art directors, designers, writers, and marketers. The role involves transforming storyboards into engaging deliverables, maintaining Vanguard’s brand standards and illustration style, and applying strong design and storytelling skills.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, embraces feedback and continuous improvement, and ensures timely delivery while following established design workflows and asset management procedures.
Responsibilities:
Creative Services, Specialist:
- Collaborates with art directors, designers, writers and marketers to create visually stunning videos consisting of motion graphics, animation, stock footage and/or screen recorded demos.
- Create and execute high-quality videos from concept to completion using strong layout, typography, and overall design excellence.
- Able to turn storyboards into final deliverables. (Animated GIF, Lottie/JSON, MP4, HTML5).
- Deep passion for visual storytelling, a strong background in motion graphics and video editing, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Uphold the standards of Vanguard's brand.
- Produce animations based on Vanguard's unique illustration style.
- Upholds the craft of design while valuing delivery (speed to market) over perfection in a test-and-learn environment. Iterates on work based on research learning and documents these insights to share with others.
- Follows project workflows and timelines to ensure projects meet delivery deadlines; adopts Design Team procedures for naming, storing, and archiving digital files.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five to seven years related work experience.
- An undergraduate or graduate degree (BS, BFA and/or Masters) in a design, advertising, or communications field or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Track record of designing quality videos that have enabled positive business outcomes.
- Able to work with a diverse set of video software (e.g., After Effects, Lottie [lottiefiles.com] is a plus, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition).
- Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
- Must be able to commute to Malvern, PA (T,W,TH).
