Compensation Range: $80 - 85 per hour
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative PMO leader to enable project management excellence across Commerce, U.S. Parks, Signature Experiences, and Innovation Products & Design. Supporting approximately 150 project managers, this role focuses on enterprise-level governance, process optimization, standardized ways of working, and tool integration—rather than managing individual projects or direct reports.
A key focus is practical AI innovation: designing automations and AI workflows that turn information from emails, Teams, and shared folders into actionable outputs such as presentations, summaries, and communications. This is a tool-agnostic role for someone who can combine project management expertise with process design, AI prompting, automation, and operational execution.
Responsibilities:
1. PMO Governance, Enablement & Operations
- Design, build, and maintain standard processes, tools, templates, dashboards, and governance frameworks for PMs.
- Gather input, test artifacts with portfolio PMs, collect feedback, and continuously iterate.
- Identify, plan, and manage interdependencies across programs and strategic roadmaps with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across program activities.
- Facilitate stakeholder orientation, readiness, and training on new tools and standards.
2. AI & Workflow Automation
- Gain and apply hands-on knowledge of AI tools and emerging technology to optimize PM workflows.
- Design and build AI agents, workflows, and automations that gather data from Teams chats, emails, folders, and other sources to summarize content and generate standard outputs (PowerPoint decks, bullet lists, emails).
- Minimize token usage and structure automations efficiently.
- Create standard AI agent templates that PMs can lightly customize.
- Adapt quickly as AI tools and platforms evolve over short timeframes.
3. Executive Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Translate complex project data, business objectives, and stakeholder needs into clear, executive-level narratives, reports, and presentations.
- Lead meetings with stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leadership to align on status, resolve issues, and drive outcomes.
- Influence discussions to achieve mutually favorable outcomes across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:

- 10+ Years in Project Management: Includes 5+ years driving PMO/Center of Excellence enablement, designing governance standards, operational processes, and tooling platforms that help project managers successfully deliver complex capital initiatives·
- PM Tooling Proficiency: Must have hands-on experience with Smartsheet and Jira (ideally Jira Cloud).
- AI Tooling & PM Enablement: Demonstrated experience applying project management discipline to AI tools to accelerate delivery, drive efficiency, and streamline processes.
- Proven ability to explore and build out AI workflows, while actively teaching, training, and mentoring other PMs on how to leverage AI to work smarter and more effectively.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, matrix organization.
- Ability to influence discussions without direct authority.
