We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented marketer who is analytical, resourceful, and proactive. This individual uses data and sound judgment to pressure-test assumptions, asks thoughtful questions, and operates effectively in fast-moving environments where timelines, priorities, and inputs may shift.
This premium membership program helps customers unlock more value from a leading national retailer. The Membership Acquisition Marketing team drives the conversion of shoppers into engaged members through both new sign-ups and reactivations.
This contractor will support member acquisition across launch-driven moments-including events, benefits, and offers-as well as evergreen, always-on marketing. The role is centered on developing and executing online messaging to drive high-quality membership sign-ups.
Responsibilities:
- Help launch acquisition events, benefits, offers, and always-on program updates
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to keep timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and approvals clear.
- Write creative briefs with clearly defined objectives, audience insights message hierarchy, offer details, key claims, channel considerations, and deliverables.
- Develop customer-facing copy for site banners, onsite placements, landing pages, and related touchpoints.
- Create copy variations tailored to different placements, audiences, and offers.
- Build and maintain copy decks, launch trackers, QA documents, test plans, and related materials in Excel, Word, and shared tools.
- Track offer language, benefit details, claims, placements, versioning, approvals, and launch requirements.
- Review all marketing assets and launch experiences for accuracy and consistency through comparing against copy decks, launch trackers & test plans.
- Identify and document errors, broken links, incorrect placements, missing assets, inaccurate offer language, or inconsistent experiences.
- Support A/B and multivariate test planning across audiences, offers, messaging, creative, placements, and timing.
- Partner with marketing, creative, site, product, operations, legal, analytics, CRM, and other teams for campaign execution.
- Lead working sessions to clarify inputs, align on decisions, resolve questions, and keep work moving.
- Partner with analytics on measurement, reporting, and learning agendas.
- Flex to support other Walmart+ Acquisition team members, priorities, or channels, including CRM.
- Provide occasional late-evening QA support for critical launches
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in acquisition, performance marketing, eCommerce, retail, subscription, membership, or digital experiences.
- Experience supporting campaigns, launches, offers, benefits, events, online messaging, or always-on programs.
- Strong understanding of how copy, creative, placement, and customer experience work together across digital touch points.
- Experience conducting QA across digital experiences, campaign assets, landing pages, or site placements.
- Comfortable with test plan creation across messaging, offers, and audiences.
- Comfortable with execution-heavy work including documentation, tracking, QA, and follow-through
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence partners.
- Analytical, and resourceful with the ability to identify gaps and develop practical solutions.
- Able to adapt quickly and work effectively through ambiguity, shifting timelines, and evolving priorities.
- Experience using AI-enhanced tools to support workflows and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
