Junior UI Designer (Hybrid)

Compensation Range: $36 - 44 per hour

We are seeking a User Experience Designer to take responsibility for creating user-centered designs for our website and app experiences, including the development of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Working in close collaboration with Digital Experience partners, Development, and Leadership, you will help define the scope, requirements, and specifications for critical digital enhancements.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and user research, with the ability to apply user-centered design principles seamlessly across both new and existing customer touchpoints. In this role, you will contribute to cohesive, accessible, and intuitive experiences across all platforms by delivering clean, well-structured, and hierarchical designs within a multi-channel environment.

This role reports into the User Experience Manager and partners closely with the Digital Experience and Development teams to ensure usability expectations and design intent are met throughout execution.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale digital experiences across desktop, mobile and app platforms continuously improving usability and effectiveness.
• Conceptualize, iterate, and design intuitive, user-centered interfaces that simplify complex problems.
• Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups, validating solutions through usability testing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to translate ideas into clear design specifications for development.
• Solve complex user experience challenges with polished, accessible, brand-aligned design solutions.
• Make strategic user experience decisions informed by business objectives, user insights, and feedback.
• Actively challenge ideas, push thinking forward, and champion innovation within the User Experience and Digital Experience teams. 

Qualifications:

• 1-5 years experience in a UX designer role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI work across digital products and platforms.
• Proven experience in User Experience (UX), Customer Experience (CX), User Interface (UI), visual design, and creative problem-solving.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end user experience across web, mobile app, and other digital platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and user research.
• Proficiency in design tools, with strong expertise in Figma.
• Solid understanding of digital accessibility with ability to interpret metrics and user data to inform design decisions.

• Understanding of HTML/CSS.
• Strong creative problem solver with a user-first mentality.
• Highly collaborative communicator who partners effectively with design, product, and development.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity while leading discovery and prioritization efforts.
• Well-organized with strong time management and execution skills.
• Partner closely with development to ensure designs are implemented accurately and meet usability and accessibility standards.
• Experience prioritizing and executing digital initiatives that solve customer needs and deliver significant business impact.
