Design Lead (Hybrid)

Compensation Range: $40 - 48 per hour

A leading Fortune 100 financial services firm is seeking a plug-and-play Design Lead to steer their day-to-day creative engine. They pride themselves on having a energetic, "startup-style culture" embedded within a polished corporate environment-giving you the perfect space to innovate while driving major brand impact. You will be the primary point person for design execution, stepping in immediately to "man the ship" and provide strategic breathing room for our creative leadership.
 
Responsibilities:

• Own the full creative lifecycle. Receive information directly from design intakes and translate them into clean, impactful visual assets-independently driving the back-and-forth communication with internal clients to clarify feedback and refine information.
• Execute high-volume design deliverables (such as white papers, reports, posters, and flyers) with a flawless command of informational hierarchy, typography, layout, and strict brand guidelines.
• Act as a second set of eyes by reviewing the work of other designers and managing a select group of freelancers. You will also assist in onboarding outside agency help during critical "tent-pole" corporate projects.
• Utilize AI tools to optimize production workflows and build scalable, efficient templates for the broader team.
• Partner closely with various internal stakeholders and the Head of Production, understanding when to stay within the established brand "box" and when it's appropriate to push the creative envelope. 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of design experience with a portfolio that heavily highlights typography, clean layouts, typesetting, and informational hierarchy (e.g., reports, corporate collateral, large-format print). Please note: We are specifically looking for strong layout structure, not just splashy product photography.
• Prior experience working successfully within a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Familiarity with large-format commercial printing processes is highly preferred.
• Advanced mastery of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, template building, and a high level of comfort integrating modern AI design tools into your workflow.
